A Series 65 Tutor Can Help You With Balance Sheets and Income Statements

by Michael Weiss, CFA on 03/15/20

The majority of people who work with a Series 65 Tutor want help with options.  However, options represent a small part of the exam.  Not many people request help with financial statements, which are at least as important as options. Sometimes, Series 65 test takers say that are comfortable with financial statements but when you ask them a question about a formula, the response almost always suggest that the person needs help. There are only a few formulas that one needs to know from the balance sheet. As a Series 65 Tutor, I often encourage people to memorize the balance sheet formulas.  For the income statements, knowing the concepts should be enough to answer questions.
